Frequently asked questions
For customers
How is the price set?
Each courier sets their own rate: a starting fee and a price per kilometre. SnelRij's service fee comes on top. You see the total price of every courier before you choose.
When can I request a delivery?
You can always schedule a job for later. Same-hour pick-up is available on weekdays during the day; you see the current hours when ordering.
What may be sent?
An envelope, a small parcel or a medium parcel up to 10 kg. No alcohol, tobacco, medicines or dangerous goods. You state the value when ordering; the maximum value is shown there too.
What if the courier declines my request or does not respond?
Then you automatically get the full amount back and can choose another courier straight away.
Can I cancel?
As long as the courier has not accepted your request, you can cancel yourself and get everything back. After that you can report a problem with your order.
How do I know my delivery has arrived?
You follow the job on the tracking page and receive an e-mail at pick-up and delivery. After delivery you see a delivery photo and the name of the recipient.
For couriers
What does SnelRij cost me as a courier?
Nothing. There is no subscription and we deduct nothing from your rate: the customer pays SnelRij's service fee. You pay for your own VOG and insurance.
How and when am I paid?
The customer pays up front. Your share goes through Mollie to your own business account, following the payout schedule of your Mollie account.
Do I have to accept every request?
No. Declining or letting a request expire has no consequences and is not recorded.
May I also ride for other platforms?
Yes. You are free to work for other platforms and your own customers.
Which vehicle can I ride?
A bicycle or e-bike, cargo bike, speed pedelec, moped or scooter, or a motorbike. Which documents you need depends on your vehicle.
Am I employed by SnelRij?
No. You work as a self-employed business. The customer makes the transport contract with you; SnelRij brings you together and handles the payment.
